Hand-Knit Dyed Kitty Socks

Dyeing light

I used white superwash Heritage Sock yarn and Pro Washfast Acid Dye in Rhodamine Red. The two different shades were achieved with a weaker solution in one pot, and leaving the other skein in a more concentrated solution, longer.

Dyeing dark

Spun yarn.

Yarn wound into balls.

I was really happy with the contrast I got between these two shades for the colorwork socks I had in mind.

Finished socks.

They're inverted kitty ankle socks! The pattern is Kitty Ankle Socks by Inorgaknit. I chose to do the ears and features with duplicate stitch. They are one of my favorites pairs to wear.
